Thats simple.
The monsters are all alchemists and eat a lot of lead. Its transforms into gold in their stomach. Then we come along and murder them and go "oooh! shiny!"

That's easy; we cripple them with self-doubt.

The inside of a siege turtle is very different than most of us would have imagined.
It would be hard to....sell that.
EDIT: Hmm....image doesn't seem to be working. I'll just attach it.

Are the Xunlai Agents all clones of each other, or does their entire race just look alike? Where are the male ones? This is what Ash from Pokemon must feel like every time he sees a Nurse Joy or Officer Jenny.
Loot droppings. I can stretch my imagination in that maybe the monsters drop weapons because maybe they ate some unfortunate warrior, but some of the drops make no sense. Like in the Maguuma jungle, some of those tree creatures drop hundreds in gold. What is a tree of all things doing with a sack of gold? And who ventures down there, that far into the depths, with that much money on hand to possibly leave it there? They could just go pay a mercenary at that point.
It still astounds me in this game that you basically save the entire world time and time again, and you get absolutely no respect from the NPCs. They treat you like an errand boy still or worse. Secondly, why don't the townspeople ever take any initiative? They just sit there and get slaughtered while demonic rifts rip open up or monsters come to town, when they're the ones who provide us with the armor and weapons we need to defeat said monsters in the first place.
What was the point in going through all that trouble uniting the Luxons and Kurzicks when they immediately disappear afterwards and stop helping you? Yeah, they helped with one tiny battle and then go back to being insufferable and ungrateful morons. They barely even thank you if not at all. Way to go, guys.
If I were the hero in this game, I think it would just be fun to sit back and watch the world explode for a little bit.

Also, for ungrateful morons to only pitch in for a very little while and only when it suits them, and then go right back to be ungrateful morons embroiled in their petty differences.
Don't forget that part

Someone made me think and i have a feeling i know what the h/h do with all their cash - they buy ectos with it so the multi millions they have stored away come bk to the public.
And the bags etc - forget about iron as i know its heavy but size wise how can you carry 5x250 singed gargoyle skulls or mergoyle skulls in a small pouch .
Not all foe monks can rez - damn they must be bad monks not to carry a rez for their party lol.
Why dont most fire skills ( fireball, flare, m shower etc ) cause burning when they hit you - heck if i got hit by a fireball id be burnt to a crisp.
Why dont the ice skills cause frostbite .

In the Stygian Veil, the fist quest "Breaching the Stygian Veil" requires you to stop the demon horde that's coming after the NPC, but they are friendly towards the NPC, they can stand next to each other for hours on end, and they won't attack each other... Why does he need saving, if they aren't gonna attack him anyway?

Or like those thugs in North Kryta. I was amazed, here we were, saved Tyria up to 4 times and then a bunch of thugs is telling me I can not pass. I don't think so.
What bothered me most about it was that the devs didn't give us any decent replies.

What did I do to earn the hatred of very single creature in Tyria?
Do I have a big target sign on my back? Is that it?
Jerks.

Creatures are very territorial. You're in their space, so they attack you. Thats the same reason why mobs of different creatures will attack each other, too.
I like the seige turtle picture! *clap*
